Six Ponds is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Why not camp at South Branch Pond Campground while you're here at Six Ponds, and Upper South Branch Pond is a great lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. during the wintertime typically drop into the-10's. The panorama of Russell Mountain from Six Ponds is pretty, and going for a hike on the Howe is always a glorious adventure. Chimney Pond Campground is a pleasant local campground;
whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Nesowadnehunk Stream. Any time is a great time at Six Ponds if you fancy the outdoors. If you need a spot to stay Katahdin Inn is a perfect choice, and brilliant hiking is available along the Wassataquoik Tote Road.
