Crystal Lake is in close proximity, and float down the rapids of Chandler Brook in a kayak. Having a nice time at The Sinkhole is trouble-free. From The Sinkhole you acquire a good vista of Little Hill, and Residence Inn Auburn is a fine location to get some rest. If you came to camp Range Pond Campground is a glorious spot to do that; get yourself into a kayak and hit Royal River. A good deal of precipitation falls       at The Sinkhole; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is September. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Travelodge Lewiston is a great site to spend a night or two; lots of people from Lewiston-Auburn come here. This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at Sabbathday Pond if you're here at The Sinkhole; it's close by, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Mosquito                  Brook. Hit the slopes at Lost Valley close at hand; while you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Spring Meadows Golf Course. There's so much to do here at The Sinkhole that you need to camp here for a while, Twin Brooks Campground is a magnificent place for that, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Shawnee Peak. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to The Sinkhole; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
