Getting to Englishman River from Simpson Pond is trouble-free, and Simpson Pond is a good place to camp, Sunset Point Campground is a good place. A great place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Simpson Pond is East Machias River, and camping at Simpson Pond is great fun, Sunkhaze Campground is a great local campground. The Mud Hole Trail offers hiking at its best, and a tour to Great       Beach is always a tremendous idea. Dry warm beds await you at Blueberry Patch Motel, and Englishman Bay is reasonably close. For the period of the long summer days at Simpson Pond highs are commonly in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Simpson Pond. After a long day outdoors Margaretta Motel is a great site to spend a night or two, and Black Head is stunning                  and can be made out from here. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Simpson Pond is excellent! You can run the rapids of Chase Mills Stream next to Simpson Pond, and Roque Bluffs Beach is a scenic beach to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant site to go to in the neighborhood of Simpson Pond is Boundary Ledges, and Great Cove Golf Course is a golf course nearby.
