A quick journey to Little Meadow Brook near Simmons Pond is a nice idea. There's so much to do here at Simmons Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Timberland Acres RV Park is a perfect place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Hospitality Woods RV Park, and there's good hiking along the Eagle Lake Trail. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Simmons Pond, too perfect to be true. A       splendid nearby hotel is White Birches Country Club, and a magnificent beach nearby is Jesse Beach. If you need a site to stay The Colonial Inn is a good choice; the McFarland Hill Trail offers hiking at its best. Back Meadow is right here at Simmons Pond, and if time allows, Acadia National Park is a national park worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. White Birches Motel & Golf Course is a brilliant golf course close by, and whitewater paddling is                  great on Branch Lake Stream. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Simmons Pond; Great Long Pond Trail is a good local trail; in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Union River. The annual rainfall here at Simmons Pond is about average; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. For the duration of the summertime months at Simmons Pond highs are regularly in the 70's while night lows are usually in the 50's.
