Little Meadow Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Branch Lake Stream. Simmons Pond gets a typical amount of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. If you come       at the right time of year, Union River offers some great whitewater, and there's delightful hiking along the McFarland Hill Trail. Simmons Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Timberland Acres RV Park is a great local campground, and unsurprisingly, all our national parks are delightful places to have a look at and Acadia National Park is no exception. For you golfers we recommend nearby White Birches Motel & Golf Course; don't leave Simmons Pond                  without first going for a hike along the Great Long Pond Trail. During the summertime here at Simmons Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Simmons Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A day at beautiful Jesse Beach in close proximity to Simmons Pond is a great thing to do; White Birches Motel & Golf is a great location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Places like Back Meadow are tremendous to visit, and you can go for a hike on the Eagle Lake Trail.
