    Beautiful Silver Lake has much to offer visitors. A common amount of rain falls here at Silver Lake; the wettest month of the year is mostly November, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. For the duration of the summer at Silver Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Silver  
   Lake. Good hiking is available along the Blue Hill Trail.
Don't leave Silver Lake without first going for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, The Flying Dutchman Campground is a wonderful site for that. Best Western Fort Knox Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest, and you'll stumble on a pretty lake called Stowers Meadow. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind
 
               getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Narramissic River; the skiing at New Hermon Mountain is perfect.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not pop by Main Stem Orland River Reservoir close to Silver Lake; if you came to camp Flying Dutchman Campground The is a fine site to do that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Collins Cove is close by and always great to stop by, also Silver Lake Dam is worth a visit since you're here. Bucksport Golf Club is a fine golf course nearby, and a perfect location for whitewater paddling is Penobscot River.
Here at Silver Lake you can see McCloud Mountain, and after a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - BANGOR is a great place to spend a night or two.
