Silver Lake is a nice lake to visit. A magnificent site to camp here at Silver Lake is The Flying Dutchman Campground, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by New Hermon Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Silver Lake you can take a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail; do pop by Silver Lake Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Silver Lake; the overnight is a tad cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Silver Lake. Silver Lake in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise.
