| | Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pleasant River, and Mainayr Campground is a tremendous local campground. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Silica Ponds. If you came for an overnight stay Sunset Point Campground is a pleasant location to camp; on a wonderful day you obtain a nice sight of Heath Hill from Silica Ponds. swamp; Great Heath is right here at Silica Ponds. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Coffin Brook Pond, and Heath Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at.
After a long day outdoors Bar Harbor Inn is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. Silica Ponds sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest month is June.
