Any time is a good time at Sidensparker Pond if you go for the outdoors. There's whitewater on Oyster River for all you adrenaline people; if you need a place to stay Moody's Motel is a brilliant choice. Don't leave Sidensparker Pond without first going for a hike along the Hockomock Nature Trail, and after a long day outdoors Yankee Traveler Motel is a great place to spend a night or two.       This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Camden is one of those things you just ought to do, and people from Rockland love to come here. One of the overriding characteristics of the surroundings of Sidensparker Pond is Howard Hill, and not far from Sidensparker Pond you'll find Havener Pond which is a wonderful lake. The Mount Megunticook Trail offers hiking at its best, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend St. George                  River. Stay the night at Loons Cry Campground; Warren Sawmill Pond Dam is picturesque. Throughout the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 70's at Sidensparker Pond, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 20's; nighttime lows all through the winter for Sidensparker Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Loon's Cry Campground is a brilliant campground here, and there's wonderful hiking along the Ragged Mountain Trail.
