The beauty of Shell Pond is reason enough to stop by. Shell Pond truly is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Lake Kezar Country Club is a great golf course close by; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Stone House Trail. From a precipitation point of view Shell Pond is a reasonably typical spot; through August this area sees the most rain while January is mostly the driest month. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Shell Pond with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Shell Pond. If you came to camp Cold River Campground is a great spot to do that, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Blueberry Ridge Trail. you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the White Mountains. Camping at Basin Pond Campground is always a delightful experience, and lakes are such serene spots, why not stop at Colton Brook. If you need a site
to stay Pleasant Point Inn is a perfect choice; on a great day you can take a hike along the White Cairn Trail.
You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area near Shell Pond has to offer. Float down the rapids
of Saco River - East Branch in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Shell Pond, you could explore Rattlesnake Brook, and the skiing at Sunday River is brilliant. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Black Mountain; here at Shell Pond you can distinguish Adams Mountain.
