Sheepscot Pond Dam is not far at all from Sheepscot Pond, and camping is available at Pine Ridge Campgrounds. Summertime highs at Sheepscot Pond generally tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Sheepscot Pond. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on       going; Sheepscot Pond has it all. Some of the water close by flows, like Turner Branch, and Sheepscot River - West Branch has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. Going for a hike on the Hockomock Nature Trail is always a perfect adventure, and you're in all probability hooked on lakes, James Pond is one of those close by. Camping at Town Line Campsites is always a great experience, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater                  paddling on Sheepscot River. A glorious close by hotel is Best Western Waterville Inn, and there are plenty of folks from Augusta-Waterville here. This lake is so wonderful. Sheepscot Pond is a good spot of common precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
