Sheepscot Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Sheepscot Pond Dam is not far at all from Sheepscot Pond, and camping is available at Pine Ridge Campgrounds. Summertime highs at Sheepscot Pond generally tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Sheepscot Pond. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on

| | going; Sheepscot Pond has it all. Some of the water close by flows, like Turner Branch, and Sheepscot River - West Branch has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. Going for a hike on the Hockomock Nature Trail is always a perfect adventure, and you're in all probability hooked on lakes, James Pond is one of those close by. Camping at Town Line Campsites is always a great experience, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater | |

paddling on Sheepscot River. A glorious close by hotel is Best Western Waterville Inn, and there are plenty of folks from Augusta-Waterville here. This lake is so wonderful. Sheepscot Pond is a good spot of common precipitation;
the month with most of the rain is November, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Waterville,Me is a nice choice, and of course, this is a brilliant area for folks who like lakes, Turner Pond is a lake in the neighborhood.

Eaton Mountain
 | 26 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park. The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan.... |
