Throughout the summer months at Shaw Pond highs are generally in the 70's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Shaw Pond. The yearly rain here at Shaw Pond is about average; during July this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Swamps like Spencer Gut close to Shaw Pond make for       nice places to take a look at, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sugarloaf USA if you're here. Lower Shaw Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Parker Pond, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Arnolds Trail. Have a great hiking adventure along the Fire Warden Trail; Crocker Mountain Cirque                  Campground is a good campground nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area near Shaw Pond has to offer. A glorious location for whitewater paddling near Shaw Pond is Little Spencer Stream, and you can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Saddleback. You can run the rapids of Spencer Stream near Shaw Pond; you can stay the night at Loon Echo Campground.
