Moneymaker Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and St. Croix River is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Stay the night at Knowlton's Seashore Campground; obviously Beaver Brook is a wonderful stream that is worth a visit. The high level of rainfall makes Shattuck Lake a rather wet site; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; July on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at       Shattuck Lake during the warm months are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Shattuck Lake. Shattuck Lake is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Hilltop Campground is a brilliant site to camp nearby. Lakes are brilliant; Keene Lake is a lake that's near Shattuck Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful vista of stunning Trimble Mountain                  is available from Shattuck Lake, and Cook Cove is not far at all. So much fun stuff in close proximity to Shattuck Lake, just astonishing.
