Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Little Ossipee River, and on a gorgeous day you obtain a delightful panorama of Brackett Hill from Shaker Pond. Shaker Pond is a wet spot that gets much precipitation; through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is September. If you need a place to stay Sanford Inn is a nice choice, and a lake nearby is Trafton Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater       paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little River, naturally you could also check out Bunganut Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Why not camp at Walnut Grove Campground if you're here at Shaker Pond, and you don’t have to go far from Shaker Pond to see the water at Trafton Brook Dam. Camping is available at Scott's Cove Camping Area. Summertime highs at Shaker Pond commonly tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the                  50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows at Shaker Pond all through the winter usually drop into the 10's. So many enjoyable things in close proximity to Shaker Pond, simply phenomenal.
