Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kennebago River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Secret Pond; Morrell Trail is a great local trail. Secret Pond is right by the Arnold Trail, and lakes are such calm spots, why not visit Beaver Pond. There's whitewater on Dead River - North Branch for       all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Cupsuptic Campground is a nice site to do that; Long Pond is a splendid lake nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Secret Pond has to offer. There's so much to do here at Secret Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a delightful place for that, and do pop by Long Pond Dam since you're here. All the water                  falling down from the sky makes Secret Pond a wet spot; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Secret Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's; the overnight is rather colder of course, usually in the 50's.
