     Why not take a refreshing hike along the Arnold Pond Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Saddleback. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kennebago River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Secret Pond; Morrell Trail is a great local trail. Secret Pond is right by the Arnold Trail, and lakes are such calm spots, why not visit Beaver Pond. There's whitewater on Dead River - North Branch for  
   all you thrill seekers.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Cupsuptic Campground is a nice site to do that; Long Pond is a splendid lake nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Secret Pond has to offer. There's so much to do here at Secret Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a delightful place for that, and do pop by Long Pond Dam since you're here.                falling down from the sky makes Secret Pond a wet spot; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February.
Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Secret Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's; the overnight is rather colder of course, usually in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Secret Pond.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
