Don't leave Second Roach Pond without first going for a hike along the Number Four Mountain Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Pleasant River - West Branch offers some perfect whitewater. Stay the night at Frost Pond Campground; there's perfect hiking along the Big Spencer Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Second Roach       Pond is a wonderful lake in close proximity to Second Roach Pond, and there's some flowing water nearby, Hinckley Brook is a stream you can stop at while here. So many enjoyable things close to Second Roach Pond, definitely striking. Good hiking is available along the Gulf Hagas Trail, and Hinckley Cove is reasonably close. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Big Squaw is in the vicinity of Second Roach Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Second                  Roach Pond has to offer, you can camp at Casey's Spencer Bay Campground. From a precipitation point of view Second Roach Pond is a reasonably common place; through July this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Roach River, and Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a glorious location to get some rest. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are really bountiful here at Second Roach Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not explore North Inlet near Second Roach Pond; why not pop by Second Roach Pond Dam while you're here. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Second Roach Pond temperatures are generally in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's.
