     If you came to camp Keenes Lake Camping Grounds is a great location to do that; you're in all probability addicted to lakes, Horse Lake is one of those close by. Camping at Big Lake Campground is always a perfect experience, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Machias River. Second Lake gets a lot of water; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here, and June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.  
   Take a side journey to Dead Stream, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Old Stream.
All through the months of summer at Second Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Second Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. This is a nice region for folks who like
 
               lakes. Third Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and the scenery at Second Lake Dam is beautiful. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Second Lake. If you need a site to stay Bar Harbor Inn is a good choice.

Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) . Hunting in that area was, should I say, productive . ...
