If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pleasant River - East Branch, and hiking along the Northwest Ridge Road is glorious fun. If you're here at Sebec Lake and you like golf, you can take a look at Foxcroft Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at New Hermon Mountain is brilliant; going for a hike along the Auburn Log Hauling Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this       area. Sebec Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Stetson Shores Campground is a perfect local campground; if you're here you can take a hike along the Number Two Trail. Sebec Lake usually gets a large amount of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Why not stop by Bear Brook Cove also while you're here; you're in all probability into lakes, Harriman Pond                  is one of those nearby.
