    Scraggly Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Matagamon Tote Road is always a glorious adventure, and Katahdin Inn is a nice spot to get some rest. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Millinocket Stream, and Scraggly Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a nice local campground. A normal amount of rain falls here at Scraggly Lake; July  
   is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
First Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and you simply should stop at Owls Head while you're here at Scraggly Lake. There are good spots to explore along the Millinocket Lake Tote Road, and camping at Umcolcus Sporting Camps is always a nice experience.
During the summertime here at Scraggly Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's, and during summer
 
               nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Scraggly Lake temperatures drop to the-10's. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable things to do in the vicinity of Scraggly Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Penobscot River - East Branch offers some wonderful whitewater, and you can go for a hike on the Munsungan Lake Tote Road.
