Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Scott Pond. There is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to Scott Pond called the Kennedy Tote Road; some of the water nearby flows, like Gulch Brook. Bear Mountain Lodge is a nice local campground; St. Croix Stream is a great whitewater spot nearby. At Scott Pond through the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and during       the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Scott Pond. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Shiretown Motor Inn is a magnificent location to spend a night or two; delightful skiing awaits you at Bigrock. This lake is so wonderful. The Pierce Tote Road is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Scott Pond, and in case you don’t mind getting                  covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on B Stream. Near Scott Pond you find the Sweets Trail which is a great hiking trail, and dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns Houlton. Scott Pond is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Wilde Pines Campground is a splendid location to camp nearby, and one of the governing features of the surroundings of Scott Pond is The Pinnacle.
