This location is excellent, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in close proximity to Sawyer Pond. Stay the night at Casey's Spencer Bay Campground, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Lower Wilson Pond Dam in the vicinity of Sawyer Pond. Going for a hike on the Intake Trail is always a great adventure, and Lower Wilson Pond is a good lake close by. Sawyer Pond gets       a typical amount of precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. There are glorious places to explore along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail; everybody nearby loves skiing at Big Squaw. During the summertime at Sawyer Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's; the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's, and after                  the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Sawyer Pond descend into the-10's. If you need a location to stay Bingham Motor Inn is a great choice, and paddling on Big Wilson Stream is so much fun. You get a perfect sight of Blair Hill from Sawyer Pond; glide down the rapids of Piscataquis River - East Branch in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Sawyer Pond, for example Big Wilson Stream Reservoir, and you can go for a hike on the Number Four Mountain Trail.
