Do stop by Sawyer Pond while you're in this part of Maine. This lake is so wonderful. Bingham Motor Inn is a splendid spot to get some rest. While you're here at Sawyer Pond you can take a hike along the Number Four Mountain Trail; not far from Sawyer Pond you'll find Big Wilson Stream Reservoir which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Big Wilson Stream, and you can have

| | a magnificent hiking adventure along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. Just can't get enough of Sawyer Pond. Sawyer Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Northern Pride Lodge and Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and you can take a little spree to Lower Wilson Pond Dam while you're here at Sawyer Pond. highs through the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Sawyer Pond. Stay the night at Casey's Spencer Bay Campground, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a great choice.
You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Squaw while you're here; hiking along the Intake Trail is tremendous fun. Sawyer Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; during July this area sees the most rain; the
driest of the months is February. On a lovely day you acquire a vista of Blair Hill from Sawyer Pond; there's whitewater on Piscataquis River - East Branch for all you adrenaline people.
