A magnificent close by hotel is Shiretown Motor Inn, and not far from Sawyer Pond you'll locate Johnson Pond which is a beautiful lake. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Sawyer Pond; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is frequently the driest month. Why not camp at My Brothers Place while you're here at Sawyer Pond, and close by you hit upon the Kennedy Tote Road which is       a tremendous hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Champion Pond, and near Sawyer Pond you come across a golf course called Houlton Community Golf Course. Summertime at Sawyer Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Sawyer Pond. If you                  need a place to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a good choice, and Wilde Pines Campground is a tremendous local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The Potters Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Sawyer Pond, and the skiing at Bigrock is fine. There is a good hiking trail near Sawyer Pond called the Pierce Tote Road, and whitewater paddling is perfect on B Stream. So many exciting things to do at Sawyer Pond, so little time.
