Glide down the rapids of Meduxnekeag River - South Branch in a kayak; Wilde Pines Campground is a tremendous campground nearby. High temperatures at Sawyer Pond during the warm days of summer are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Sawyer Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at       Shiretown Motor Inn, and the Potters Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Scottish Inns Houlton is a good place to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, B Stream offers some great whitewater. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Sawyer Pond. If you came for an overnight stay My Brothers Place is a magnificent place to camp; do take a hike on the Kennedy Tote Road. From Sawyer Pond you acquire a splendid                  vista of Adams, and what would winter be without some skiing at Bigrock. A normal amount of rain falls here at Sawyer Pond; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
