things truly is bountiful here in the White Mountains.
Going for a hike on the Arnold Trail is always a great adventure, and the snow is nice at Balsams Wilderness. So much cool stuff to do here at Saturday Pond, too pleasant to be true. Some of the water nearby flows, like Black Cat Brook, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Magalloway River. Saturday Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.

Boundary Pond
10 miles away
Drove up on the 14th of October, 1 day before season closed. First time in 35 years of going was the pond complete smooth, not a ripple. Between my friend and I, we must have caught 30-40 fish both on dry & wet flies, only keeping 4 for breakfast the next morning. It was a good mix of newly stocked (white bellies) and either hold overs or natives (deep rich colors). It was a wonderful experience!...

Lower Richardson Lake

We stayed at South Arm campground and paddled the lake every day. One night we rented a wilderness site and tented from canoes. We also drove down the road and hiked out and back on the AT.
-Great Place!...
