If you came for an overnight stay Black Arrow Lodge is a great location to camp, and do take a hike on the Morrell Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Sapet Pond is close to the national average; through July this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. Sapet Pond, and you'll find a beautiful lake called Elaine Pond. High temperatures at Sapet Pond during the warm months are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Sapet Pond.

 | 11 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
