    It's always fun to stop by Sandy Stream Pond. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nesowadnehunk Stream River; South Turner Mountain is clearly visible from Sandy Stream Pond. What a place this is for outdoors people. Sandy Stream is a delightful whitewater spot near Sandy Stream Pond, and a delightful close by hotel is Katahdin Inn. This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a wonderful lake called Martin  
   Ponds near Sandy Stream Pond, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Chimney Pond Trail.
You're sure to encounter some fine people from Bangor here, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Whidden Ponds. Sandy Stream Pond is a good location to visit for more than one day, Roaring Brook Campground is a good location to camp nearby; while you're here you can take a hike along the South Branch Trail.                months highs are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Sandy Stream Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything Sandy Stream Pond has to offer, you can camp at Chimney Pond Campground; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Dudley Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Sandy Stream Pond gets a normal amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout July; February meanwhile is the driest month.
