    Many people like to go to Sandy Stream Pond. Summertime highs at Sandy Stream Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Sandy Stream Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Katahdin Inn is a splendid place to get some rest, and the peak of South Turner Mountain can be observed from Sandy Stream Pond.

   on Sandy Stream; why not take a refreshing hike along the Dudley Trail. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Float down the rapids of Nesowadnehunk Stream River in a kayak, and Sandy Stream Pond is not far at all from Bangor. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sandy Stream Pond; South Branch Trail is a delightful local trail; if you came to camp Roaring Brook Campground is a great place to do that.
