If you came to camp Chimney Pond Campground is a tremendous site to do that; you can go for a hike on the Dudley Trail. Lakes? Sure, Whidden Ponds is nearby, and there are some great whitewater spots on Nesowadnehunk Stream River. Going for a hike on the Chimney Pond Trail is always a good adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Heritage Motor Inn. | | is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Sandy Stream offers some magnificent whitewater. Summertime highs at Sandy Stream Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Sandy Stream Pond. This lake is so wonderful. | |

After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two, and Sandy Stream Pond is a place with many visitors from Bangor. There are other places here than Sandy Stream Pond, for example
Martin Ponds. There's so much to do here at Sandy Stream Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Roaring Brook Campground is a nice site for that. Having a great time at Sandy Stream Pond is trouble-free. Near Sandy Stream Pond
you discover the South Branch Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and you get a splendid panorama of South Turner Mountain from here.
