Do stop by Salt Ponds while you're in this part of Maine. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Salt Ponds. After a long day outdoors Seawall Restaurant & Motel is a great place to spend a night or two, and taking a little journey to close by Bluff Head is a good idea. Ann's Point Inn is a tremendous spot to get some rest; during your stay here do stop at close by Middle Beach. This lake is so wonderful. There's pleasant hiking along

| | the Western Mountain South Face Trail; Acadia National Park is a delightful national park. Summer at Salt Ponds arrives with high temperatures in the 70's; the overnight is rather cooler of course, usually in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Salt Ponds. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Blue Hill Falls; you could always look at | |

Beach Ledge. A day at Little Beach close to Salt Ponds is time well spent, and there are good places to discover along the Wonderland Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Salt Ponds is a great spot to camp, Bass Harbor Campground
is a great spot. Salt Ponds gets a great deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and August on the other hand is the driest. Stay the night at Quiet Side Campground, and don't leave Salt Ponds without first going for a hike along the Harbor Trail.
