Do stop by Salt Pond while you're in this part of Maine. A day at Steep Bank Beach in the neighborhood of Salt Pond is time well spent, and get soaked paddling on Ducktrap River. Dry warm beds await you at Whitehall Inn, and there are brilliant sites to discover along the Mount Battie Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Near Salt Pond you stumble on the Spring Brook Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail; Apple Tree Hill is a peak you can distinguish from Salt Pond. Camden Harbour Inn is a good choice; you're in all probability keen on lakes, Charley Browns Pond is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Trail Point Trail is always a nice adventure, and camping
is available at Northport Travel Park. Swamps don’t sound that great but Pond Swamp close to Salt Pond is reasonably great; paddling on Goose Falls is so much fun. Summer at Salt Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's with
night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Salt Pond through the wintertime typically plunge into the 10's. Yeah, come here to Salt Pond for a brilliant time. People from Rockland
love to come to Salt Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Massachusetts Homestead Camp is a nice site to camp.
