There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Cathance River, and this is a popular location for people from Lewiston-Auburn. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Chandler Brook offers some tremendous whitewater; Sleeper Dam has magnificent water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Allen Pond Campground is a nice spot to do that, and if       you're looking for some flowing water? Try Maxwell Brook. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Sabattus Pond with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Sabattus Pond nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. There's so much to do here at Sabattus Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Maine Campground Owners Association is a great place for that, and after a long day outdoors Travel Inn is a brilliant                  place to spend a night or two. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Apple Valley Golf Course is in close proximity, and if the weather is beautiful, you obtain a good view of Hedgehog Hill from Sabattus Pond. Sabattus Pond gets lots of water; during the month of November you get the most rain around here while September is commonly the driest month. This is a glorious area for people who like lakes. Custer Pond is a lake close by, and what would winter be without some skiing at Lost Valley. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves.
