Rush Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. A fine spot for whitewater paddling near Rush Pond is Cupsuptic River; why not camp at Black Arrow Lodge since you're here at Rush Pond. Having a fine time at Rush Pond is easy. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Parlin Pond Stream; if you're here you can take a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail. is so wonderful. King & Bartlett Lake Camp is a perfect local campground; Butler Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. The warmest time of the year at Rush Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight
hours it's typically in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Rush Pond. If you get bored of Rush Pond, you could also pop by close by Deer Pond; on a great day you can take a hike along the Fire Warden Trail.

 | 12 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
