This lake is so wonderful. Chandler Brook is a good whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Runaround Pond, also Runaround Pond Dam is worth visiting while you're here. Why not camp at Big Skye Acres Campground since you're here at Runaround Pond; while you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Apple Valley Golf Course. What a site this is for outdoors people. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always       go whitewater paddling on Royal River, and if you're popping by from Lewiston-Auburn, you won't be the only one. All the water falling down from the sky makes Runaround Pond a wet site; during November this area sees the most rain while September is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A nice spot to camp here at Runaround Pond is Blueberry Pond Camping, and why not a little side journey to Alder Brook. If you need a site to stay Armands                  Orchard Side Inn is a fine choice, and skiing at Lost Valley is one of those things you just must do. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Runaround Pond with nighttime lows in the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Runaround Pond.
