    It's always fun to stop by Rum Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant place to camp here at Rum Pond is Chimney Pond Campground, and whitewater paddling is good on Nesowadnehunk Stream. From a precipitation point of view Rum Pond is a reasonably typical spot; the month with most of the rain is July while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Why not camp at Roaring Brook Campground since you're here at Rum Pond, and the Dudley  
   Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby.
If only every location had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. You could also take a look at Helon Taylor Pond since you're here at Rum Pond; it's nearby, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Cathedral Trail. Looking for something near Rum Pond? Cranberry Pond is in close proximity; going for a hike on the Chimney Pond Trail is always a perfect adventure. Katahdin Inn is
 
               a glorious location to get some rest, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy Stream.
For the period of the days of summer highs here at Rum Pond get into the 70's, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, typically in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Rum Pond are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Rum Brook flows through this neighborhood, and lots of people from Bangor come here.
