Royal River Reservoir is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Desert Of Maine is a tremendous place to camp nearby; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Freeport ME/L.L.Area is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. The Ledges is an exciting thing to catch a sight of if you're here at Royal River Reservoir;

| | Royal River Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Yarmouth Reservoir is a nearby lake. Stay the night at Desert Dunes Of Maine Campground, and Best Western Freeport Inn is a splendid site to get some rest. Hit the slopes at Lost Valley close by. This lake is so wonderful. the rain is November while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Any time is a splendid time at Royal River Reservoir if you fancy the outdoors. Royal River Reservoir is near East Elm Street Dam which
is a pretty site unquestionably worth stopping at, and while you're here you should stop at Broad Cove. For the duration of the long summer days at Royal River Reservoir highs are commonly in the 80's. For the duration of the dark
hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows at Royal River Reservoir through the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.

I'd recommend LOTS of bug sprays as the mosquitoes tend to swarm and are very plentiful this year. Clean restrooms and laundry, paved roads, friendly and helpful staff, and what a view over the 3000 acre Audubon Property. A canoe or kayak ride is a must! Very close to the Eastern Trail for a scenic hike of nature and wildlife. A tranquil setting but yet close to shopping, fine dining and the beach. Not many activities on site, but no noise either. Also, a strong WiFi signal was nice for a change and cable TV with 70 channels at our level site. Highly recommend if staying for a week, month or the season. Plenty to do in the area.... |

There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice.... |
