There's so much to do here at Round Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Walnut Grove Campground is a magnificent place for that, and Pine Springs Lake Dam is a pretty location, unquestionably worth a visit. Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Round Pond dip
into the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little River, and the view of gorgeous Ross Mountain is good.
