There's so much to do here at Round Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Scott's Cove Camping Area is a delightful location for that, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little River. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Trout Pond, and Round Pond is delightful enough to spend more than       a day at, Apache Campground is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular place for folks from Portland-South Portland. The top of Brackett Hill is easily distinguished from Round Pond, and Little Ossipee River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. For the duration of the days of summer at Round Pond temperatures are usually in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime                  come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Round Pond. Round Pond is a pretty wet place mostly with lots of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and September meanwhile is the driest month. Enjoy a round of golf at Sanford Country Club not far from Round Pond, and hey, Canes Brook is a great local stream. So many fun things to do at Round Pond, so little time. Sanford Inn is a perfect place to get some rest, and not far from Round Pond you get some great water scenery at Trafton Brook Dam. This lake is so wonderful.
