At Round Pond during the summer highs are in the 70's, and the night is fairly cooler of course, typically in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Round Pond dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights. Why not camp at Caseys Spencer Bay Campground if you're here at Round Pond, and       you can go for a hike on the Intake Trail. Round Pond is not the only location close by, Long Pond is a close by lake, and Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a delightful place to get some rest. Round Pond is a good site of normal rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout July; February meanwhile is the driest month. Kennebec River - East Outlet has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. Round Pond truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Going                  for a hike on the Big Squaw Mountain Trail is always a splendid adventure, and if you've had enough of Round Pond, Moosehead Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful.
