If you adore the outdoors, you'll like Round Pond. Ellis Pond is a wonderful lake next to Round Pond, and Kennebec River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. Go for a hike on the Intake Trail, and Enchanted Outfitters & Lodge is a wonderful local campground. Throughout the months of summer at Round Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the       50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and night lows at Round Pond during the wintertime commonly sink into the-10's. From a precipitation point of view Round Pond is a quite common place; the month with most of the rain is July while February is typically the driest month. Northern Outdoors is a nice campground nearby, and at Round Pond you can catch a glimpse of Wilson Hill. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good                  hiking trail right next door to Round Pond called the Big Squaw Mountain Trail, and after a long day outdoors Bingham Motor Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two.
