The warmest time of the year at Round Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Eaton Mountain is clearly visible from Round Pond; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Lake George. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. There are plenty of people from Augusta-Waterville here at Round Pond, and Clinton Golf Course is a golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Skowhegan/Canaan KOA if you're here at Round Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a
spot to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a tremendous choice; in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sebasticook River. Round Pond generally gets a great deal of rainfall; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February.

Eaton Mountain

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.
You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.
We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.
