During your tour to Round Pond you'll meet some people from Bangor for sure, and if you come at the right time of year, Wassataquoik Stream offers some fine whitewater. On a wonderful day at Round Pond you can take a hike along the Telos Tote Road, and drift down the rapids of Penobscot River - East Branch in a kayak. The annual precipitation here at Round Pond is about average; of all       the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Katahdin Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest; the American Thread Company Road is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. If you came for an overnight stay Pine Grove Campground is a nice place to camp; do put some time aside to spend at Big Eddy while you're here at Round Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Beer Logan are                  fun to have a look at, and camping is available at Katahdin Shadows Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Summer at Round Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Round Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. So many exciting things to do here at Round Pond, too brilliant to be true.
