This lake is so wonderful. There are delightful places to discover along the Hockomock Nature Trail, and Seven Tree Pond is a brilliant lake nearby. Any time is a glorious time at Round Pond if you adore the outdoors. Going for a hike on the Ragged Mountain Trail is always a good adventure; Round Pond is a place with many visitors from Rockland. High temperatures       at Round Pond through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Round Pond. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Sennebec Pond close to Round Pond, and Round Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Loons Cry Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at                  the right time of year, St. George River offers some tremendous whitewater. There's so much to do here at Round Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Loon's Cry Campground is a tremendous place for that. Gotta ski! Camden is a fine site to do that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Oyster River. The amount of precipitation that falls at Round Pond is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during November, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
