Take a hike on the Morrell Trail; Indian Stream Mountain can be observed from Round Pond. The high level of rain makes Round Pond a pretty wet location; most of the rain falls throughout August, and February is the month with the least moisture. Dead River - North Branch has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by, and Caribou Bog is a great       lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Brook is a good site to have a look at, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Saddleback. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Round Pond has it all. Camping is available at Cathedral Pines Camping Area, and whitewater paddling is great on Moose River - South Branch. There are other locations here than Round Pond, for example Natanis                  Pond, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Arnold Trail. During the summertime months here at Round Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
