A great place to camp here at Round Pond is Cathedral Pines Camping Area. Lakes? Sure, Natanis Pond is close at hand. Why not camp at Black Arrow Lodge while you're here at Round Pond, and you can run the rapids of Moose River - South Branch. Through the summer highs here at Round Pond reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the       wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Round Pond are in the-10's. Round Pond is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Morrell Trail, and there's whitewater on Dead River - North Branch for all you thrill seekers. If only every location had this much outdoors cool stuff, what                  a great globe it would be. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Pond; Arnold Trail is a fine local trail; getting to Bear Brook from Round Pond is painless. The slopes of Saddleback are so inviting nobody can resist, and at Round Pond you can catch a sight of Indian Stream Mountain.
