For the duration of the summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Round Pond, and the night is a little chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Round Pond. Round Pond is right next door to Dodge Pond Dam which is a pretty place definitely worth checking out, and you can hit the slopes at Black Mountain close by. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? | | nearby; Hunter Cove is close by and always great to explore. Yeah, come up here to the White Mountains for a great time. If the weather is wonderful, you obtain a magnificent sight of Burnham Hill from Round Pond; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Saddleback. River - South Branch, and there's fine hiking along the Bemis Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Round Pond. Camping at Black Brook Cove Campground is always a great experience; hey, Quimby Brook is a great local stream.
Round Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Kennebago River is a magnificent whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Round Pond, and the Bemis
Stream Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Round Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, North Camps is a delightful local campground, and don't leave Round Pond without first going for a hike
along the Milrose Trail. Not far from Round Pond, you'll hit upon Secret Bog which is a picturesque lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains.

Bugeye Pond
 | 16 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
