What a nice lake Round Pond is. Hunter Cove is not far from Round Pond at all, and while you're here, you could check out Quimby Brook. Round Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the White Mountains. The snow is great at Saddleback, and if you get bored of Round Pond you could also have a look at close by Dodge Pond. Round Pond gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is frequently the driest month. wonderful. You can take a little spree to Dodge Pond Dam since you're here at Round Pond; wonderful hiking is available along the Bemis Trail. Summertime highs at Round Pond usually tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the
dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Round Pond. This place, Round Pond, it absolutely has so
much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Drift down the rapids of Kennebago River in a kayak, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Pond; Bemis Stream Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you acquire
a panorama of Burnham Hill from Round Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Dead River - South Branch offers some fine whitewater.

Bugeye Pond
 | 16 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
