There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Lost Valley, and a visit to Auburn Municipal Beach is always a magnificent idea. Here at Round Pond there are plenty of people from Lewiston-Auburn, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Chandler Brook. You could also take a look at Mud Pond while you're       here at Round Pond; it's close by, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Nezinscot River. For the period of the months of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Round Pond, and the night is fairly cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Round Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
