There are some nice whitewater spots on Chandler Brook, and you'll meet a lot of people from Lewiston-Auburn here. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Cathance River offers some magnificent whitewater, and Freeport/durham Koa is a great campground nearby. Travel Inn is a brilliant place       to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Big Skye Acres Campground. Not far from Round Pond you find Martin Point, and dry warm beds await you at Armands Orchard Side Inn. A tremendous panorama of gorgeous Sabattus Mountain is available from Round Pond. Round Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls through November while September is ordinarily the driest month. You absolutely have to like Round Pond. An afternoon playing                  golf at Apple Valley Golf Course is always a joy, and a delightful lake like Sabattus Pond is a great place to go to. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Sleeper Dam right next door to Round Pond is stunning, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not visit Sabattus Pond. Summertime at Round Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
