     Round Mountain Pond is right by the Arnold Trail, and the snow is splendid at Sugarloaf USA. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Cathedral Pines Camping Area since you're here at Round Mountain Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Mountain Pond; Morrell Trail is a wonderful local trail. Lakes? Sure, Chain Lakes is in the neighborhood; Black Arrow Lodge is a glorious local campground. During the warm months here at Round Mountain Pond,  
   high temperatures regularly reach the 70's, and the night is fairly colder of course, generally in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Round Mountain Pond temperatures fall to the-10's.
The annual rain here at Round Mountain Pond is about average; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Get drenched paddling on Dead River - North Branch, and the best
 
               way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Saddleback. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Round Mountain Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Arnold Pond Trail, and the view of Round Mountain is striking.
This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Cupsuptic River in a kayak, and there are other places here than Round Mountain Pond, for example Lower Pond.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....

NEW RENTAL AND RETAIL SHOPS
Saddleback will now operate the rental and retail shops in the base lodge that were previously operated by a lessee. This season the rental shop will have a new fleet of rental skis, boards, boots, bindings and poles. The retail shop will have a new inventory of clothing and accessories.
