There's perfect hiking along the Fox Brook Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Munsungan Stream offers some pleasant whitewater. The annual rainfall here at Round Mountain Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August while February is mostly the driest month. Round Mountain Pond truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Go for a hike on the Round       Trail, and a charming lake like Rowe Lake is a perfect location to pop by. Round Mountain Pond is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Homestead Lodge is a great spot to camp nearby, and don't leave Round Mountain Pond without first going for a hike along the Mooseleuk Tote Road. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Katahdin Inn is a tremendous choice, and lakes are such calm places, why not check out Weeks Pond. Take a side                  spree to Lovejoy Brook, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Millinocket Stream. Summertime highs at Round Mountain Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's while Round Mountain Pond overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Middle Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Round Mountain Pond, and Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a tremendous campground nearby.   Katahdin Inn, Millinocket 45 miles away The Econo Lodge is located at the northern end of the Appalachian Trail.
