Why not stop by Ross Pond if you're passing through these parts. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Ross Pond. For the duration of the summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Ross Pond while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Ross Pond tend to be in the-10's. So much exciting stuff to do here in the White Mountains, too great to be true.

| | If you like skiing, you're in luck; Saddleback is close to Ross Pond; North Camps is a pleasant campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Perennial Inn; taking a little journey to close by City Cove is a great idea. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Dead River - South Branch; nearby you hit upon the Bemis Stream Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Ross Pond is located in the White Mountains. to Ross Pond, definitely astonishing. A lake close by is Gile Logan, and Black Mountain is a perfect local ski area. All year is a perfect time in the White Mountains if you like the outdoors. Perk Pond is a nearby lake that you could
visit, and Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School is a wonderful golf course nearby. From a precipitation point of view Ross Pond is a reasonably typical location; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February
on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The Milrose Trail is a nice hiking trail close to Ross Pond; there are some good whitewater spots on Kennebago River. At Ross Pond you can distinguish Burnham Hill, and
if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Bemis Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Black Brook Cove Campground is a great place to camp; Hatchery Brook is in the vicinity of Ross Pond and is always a bliss to go to.

The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that.  | 16 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
