But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the White Mountains. Camping at North Camps is always a great experience, and since you're here you should explore City Cove. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School, and Kennebago River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great globe it would be. If you came to camp Black Brook Cove Campground is a perfect site to do that; since
you're here, you could also stop at lovely Gile Logan. This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a delightful lake called Perk Pond near Ross Pond, and don't forget to take a glorious little visit to Hatchery Brook. And if that's
not enough, there's loads more to do in close proximity to Ross Pond. Black Mountain has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff, and nearby you discover the Bemis Stream Trail which is a fine hiking trail. This lake is located
in the wonderful White Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the White Mountains. There is a nice hiking trail near Ross Pond called the Milrose Trail, and The Perennial Inn is a glorious place to get some rest. On a pleasant day at Ross Pond you can take a hike along the Bemis Trail, and brilliant skiing awaits you at Saddleback.

The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that.  | 16 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
