     Rocky Pond is a nice lake to visit. Katahdin Inn is a great place to get some rest; from Rocky Pond you acquire a pleasant sight of Abol Mountain. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Rocky Pond. Lakes? Sure, Cranberry Pond is in the vicinity, and if you come at the right time of year, Sandy Stream offers some brilliant whitewater. All through the months of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Rocky Pond while overnight lows are  
   frequently in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows during the winter for Rocky Pond tend to be in the-10's.
Rocky Pond is a good site of normal rain; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Chimney Pond Campground is a nice local campground; it's a great idea to stop at Pockwockamus Stream. Going for a hike along the Dudley Trail will let you absorb the
 
               natural beauty of this vicinity; Rocky Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Roaring Brook Campground is a good place to camp nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Big Squaw. This lake is so wonderful. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Abol Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Round Pond. While you're here at Rocky Pond you can take a hike along the Cathedral Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Nesowadnehunk Stream.
