Rocky Pond is a nice lake to visit. Katahdin Inn is a great place to get some rest; from Rocky Pond you acquire a pleasant sight of Abol Mountain. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Rocky Pond. Lakes? Sure, Cranberry Pond is in the vicinity, and if you come at the right time of year, Sandy Stream offers some brilliant whitewater. lake is so wonderful. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Abol Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Round Pond. While you're here at Rocky Pond you can take a hike along the Cathedral
Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Nesowadnehunk Stream.
