Going for a hike on the Mount Battie Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and The Country Inn Camden-Rckprt is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Near Rocky Pond you hit upon the Ragged Mountain Trail which is a tremendous hiking       trail; one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Laite Memorial Beach. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Rocky Pond. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Camden while you're here, and a lake nearby is Mirror Lake. Throughout the summertime highs here at Rocky Pond reach the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are usually                  in the 30's while Rocky Pond nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. A glorious spot for whitewater paddling near Rocky Pond is Oyster River, and there are plenty of people from Rockland here at Rocky Pond. A golf course in the vicinity of Rocky Pond is Goose River Golf Course; there are fine spots to explore along the Mount Megunticook Trail. The view of Beech Hill from Rocky Pond is charming. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Rocky Pond has to offer, you can camp at Roberts Roost Campground. Be careful coming to Rocky Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. Ducktrap River is a good whitewater spot close to Rocky Pond. The high level of rainfall makes Rocky Pond a reasonably wet site; November is the wettest month with most rain, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Mirror Lake Dam since you're here at Rocky Pond.
