From a rainfall point of view Rocky Pond is a relatively common place; the month with most of the rain is November, and February is the month with the least moisture. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Narraguagus River, and if you came to camp Mountain View Campground is a good site to do that. All the outdoors exciting stuff       close to Rocky Pond will keep you coming back many times. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Union River - East Branch, and do stop by Upper Lead Mountain Pond, it's a charming lake. Sea Breeze Motel is a brilliant place to get some rest, and Rocky Pond is right by the Lead Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and hiking along the Eagle Lake Trail is good fun. Dark                  Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to. There's so much to do here at Rocky Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Eastbrook Campground is a great site for that. Summertime highs at Rocky Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's.
