A great deal of rain falls at Rock Pond; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month of the year is February. There's glorious hiking along the Arnold Pond Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Kennebago       River. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Rock Pond. Nearby lakes? Sure, Big Island Pond is next to Rock Pond, and camping is available at Cupsuptic Campground. The Arnold Trail offers hiking at its best, and a great place to camp here at Rock Pond is Cathedral Pines Camping Area. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Saddleback and strap some skis to your feet, and if you come at the right time of year, Dead River - North Branch                  offers some wonderful whitewater. Summertime highs at Rock Pond generally tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's.
