Getting to Little Dumb Brook from Rile Pond is painless; there are some glorious whitewater spots on Union River. Burnt Hub Hill is clearly visible from Rile Pond, and if you get bored of Rile Pond you could also check out close by Youngs Pond. Summertime at Rile Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. of rain that falls at Rile Pond is close to the national average; November is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Rile Pond is not the only site nearby, Beech Hill
Pond is a nearby lake; the Peaked Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Twilite Motel is a great site to spend a night or two, and Rile Pond is right by the Old Gold Mine Trail.
If you come at the right time of year, Tannery Brook River offers some good whitewater, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Bald Mountain Trail.
