Hoyt Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and you can make out Sugar Loaf from Rideout Lake. After a long day outdoors Shiretown Motor Inn is a perfect place to spend a night or two; a brilliant place for whitewater paddling is B Stream. This       lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Wilde Pines Campground is a perfect location to do that, and Meduxnekeag River - South Branch is a fine whitewater spot close by. Have a good hiking adventure along the Pierce Tote Road; if you need a location to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Sweets Trail. Lakes are brilliant; Culling Pond is a lake that's near Rideout Lake. That right there is a heap                  already, but it continues; Rideout Lake has it all. Head up to Bigrock and strap some skis to your feet, and not far from Rideout Lake you'll stumble on Conroy Lake which is a picturesque lake. Rideout Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Rideout Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's.
